  • Introduction is in-line with growing appetite for highly personalised, Bespoke motor cars

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars premieres the first Art Deco Collection Ghost to be commissioned for Thailand at the 34th Bangkok International Motor Show. This beautiful Collection Car offers highly Bespoke features and detailing, and is one of only 35 Limited Edition Art Deco Collection Cars in the world.

Three other Rolls-Royce motor cars in the brand’s iconic range are being displayed by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Bangkok (Millionaire Auto), the authorised dealer: Phantom, Phantom Extended Wheelbase and Ghost Extended Wheelbase. Following the opening of Thailand’s first Rolls-Royce showroom at Rama 3, a brand new luxury boutique at Siam Paragon Mall will open this year to allow customers to access a brand ‘touch point’.

General Manager, Emerging Markets – Asia, Herfried Hasenoehrl said, “We are delighted to be presenting an exclusive Limited Edition car at the Bangkok International Motor Show for the first time. Our motor cars are the pinnacle of automotive tailoring, with the unique Art Deco design style having resonance in the artistic nature of the Thai and regional Asian cultures. The Art Deco car is a symbol of the endless Bespoke capabilities possible when you commission a Rolls-Royce motor car. We are proud to display it here at one of the most prominent motoring events in the South East Asian region.

“With increasing interest in the brand’s Bespoke services, and our recently launched new model, Wraith, we expect to see sustainable demand for Rolls-Royce motor cars in Thailand,” he added.

General Manager for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Bangkok, Chatvithai Tantraporn commented, “It’s an exciting time for Millionaire Auto as we enter into the second year of operation as the official dealer for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in Bangkok. We continue to maintain a service quality aligned to the high standards expected of the brand, the Art Deco car is a unique way to showcase the brand’s capabilities for Bespoke and its ability to deliver highly personalised cars.”

Art Deco

The Art Deco Collection Car takes inspiration from one of the defining movements of the 20th century – in homage to the 1925 Paris Exhibition or Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes that gave the movement its name. Art Deco was a style that employed futuristic crystallised motifs referencing Greek classicism and Egyptian relics mixed with the dynamic of the age of the machine and streamlined automotive liberation. Its influence has extended to disciplines such as architecture, automotive design, marketing, ceramics and furniture making.

Art Deco’s presence in Thailand is all around us – Bangkok, in particular, holds host to the design movement’s charms with several notable buildings, such as Bangkok’s Democracy Monument and Chalerm Krung Cinema.

About Rolls-Royce Motor Cars
