“Spectre has been created with the same legacy that defines every Rolls-Royce. As the first of its kind, it marks a distinct moment in our history. Our clients understand this intuitively and commission Spectre as a Rolls-Royce to be admired and passed down for generations. This was reflected in its reception: Spectre was our most successful coupé launch to date.”
Chris Brownridge, Chief Executive, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars

Rolls-Royce Spectre is increasingly recognised by clients and collectors as a motor car of lasting significance. Commissioned with the same permanence that defines every Rolls-Royce, Spectre and its Black Badge alter ego have rapidly established their place within the marque’s emerging Goodwood-era collector canon.

Spectre’s status as a future classic was evident from the outset. In its first full year of availability, it outperformed both Wraith and Dawn in their debut years – clear evidence that clients are embracing Spectre as an authentic and desirable expression of the marque’s legacy. Many collectors with established Goodwood-era portfolios now regard Spectre as an essential addition, confirmed by its global popularity: it was the second most demanded Rolls-Royce motor car worldwide in 2025.

2025 also marked the debut of a number of highly Bespoke Spectres, signalling that many are choosing to commission Spectre as a long-term emotional asset, rather than a short-term acquisition. These include Spectre Bailey, a joyful and deeply personal tribute to a client’s beloved dog; and Spectre Soulmate, commissioned to honour the shared journey of a couple whose lives have long intersected with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. Each commission demonstrates the emotional depth and creative range through which clients around the world are embracing Spectre.

Spectre’s design supports this shift in perception. Its monolithic form, elegant proportions and clean surfacing reflect a modern, yet timeless, interpretation of classic Rolls-Royce design principles. The dramatic split headlamps, reminiscent of Spectre’s spiritual predecessor, Phantom Coupé, and expressive Pantheon grille establish a powerful identity, while the sweeping fastback silhouette recalls the grace of historic Rolls-Royce coupés. Inside, features such as Starlight Doors and the Illuminated Fascia invite new forms of Bespoke expression, realised with the control and restraint expected of the marque.

Spectre fulfils a prophecy made more than 120 years ago – and proves the prescience of this vision. In 1900, The Hon. Charles Stewart Rolls made a bold prediction: “The electric car is perfectly noiseless and clean. There is no smell or vibration. They should become very useful when fixed charging stations can be arranged.” With this conviction in mind, Spectre was always destined to become a defining motor car for Rolls-Royce collectors.

Spectre’s status as a future classic is also underpinned by exceptional engineering. Conceived with the same commitment to longevity and resilience as every Rolls-Royce, it delivers what many have regarded as the perfect execution of an electric powertrain. The marque’s confidence in and commitment to long-term performance is expressed with an unprecedented 15-year, unlimited mileage battery warranty, offered as standard to new and existing Spectres.

Following Spectre’s initial 2,500,000-kilometre testing programme – the most extensive engineering validation programme in Rolls-Royce history – prototype motor cars continue to be operated by the marque’s specialist engineering teams. One recently retired test Spectre indicated 99% battery capacity was remaining after 100,000 kilometres of real-world driving and charging across multiple climates and geographies. Regardless of the battery’s proven endurance, Rolls-Royce has confirmed supply of replacement batteries that extends well beyond the middle of this century, providing future support for every Spectre, as the marque’s clients would rightly expect.

Several early Goodwood-era Rolls-Royces – including Phantom Coupé – are now joining the ranks of revered classics. Spectre follows in this tradition, reflecting a generational shift among collectors towards highly Bespoke electric Rolls-Royces: an evolution the marque has noted with interest as it develops its future product road map.

A photographic series accompanies this release. Spectre is pictured beside a 1965 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud coupé in one of London’s most desirable districts, reflecting its place at home in the most prestigious locations around the world, and in the company of other collector motor cars of lasting value.
